Then it got messy: a man approached the group, exchanged words, and suddenly threw a punch straight into a protester’s face. Police showed up after the violence, arresting both the man who swung first and one protester described as “violent.” No word yet on charges or why this protest targeted a bank in particular. Once again, Portland lives up to its reputation as a flashpoint where street politics, chaos, and selective enforcement collide.
